Recreation soccer is for those players that are seeking a fun, eight week season of soccer in the spring and/or fall. Teams play four games at home at our fields in Highland, and four games at neighboring clubs. The teams are coached by HV Soccer Club staff coaches and practices are held at our home fields in Highland, off of North Hickory Ridge Road. Practice days and times are decided by the coach, based on the number and age group of teams formed each season. There will most often be two practices a week. Games are played on a Saturday or Sunday. Occasionally, a weekday game will occur.  Our youth recreation teams play in the WSSL league, the largest youth soccer league in Michigan.

The Huron Valley recreational program is for all youth players, ages 7 thru high school. Assigning players to recreational team rosters on the basis of talent by the use of tryouts, invitations, recruiting, or similar processes is prohibited. Recreational players may not be “cut” from a team.

The seasonal registration fee covers coach’s pay, the cost of jerseys, field costs, league, state, and referee game fees. Players must purchase independently, the following items to complete their game day uniform: black socks, black shorts, shin guards and a size/age appropriate soccer ball.
